Honeywell International Inc. (NASDAQ: HON) has plans to invest further in its Plymouth, Minnesota, campus by constructing a new laboratory building on site. Its proposal to build the new lab cleared its first hurdle this week when the Plymouth Planning Commission approved its application. Charlotte-based Honeywell would use the building to develop and build innovative weather-measurement equipment, according to a city staff report on the project. 'This additional space will further improve the high-quality industrial space this campus hosts, create additional jobs, and bring new expertise and capabilities to the area,' a statement included in the company's application to the city said.
